About Quads
The Quad bikes are the ones with sit-astride and consist of four wheels with handlebars. There are different names for this device. While a large section of farming community describes them as ATVs, many others prefer ATCs (All Terrain Cycles) while describing them. The term Quad bike is mainly designated by leisure users. ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) is the common expression used to explain a vehicle designed for off-road use, mainly. Quad bikes are divided in two sections broadly.
Types of Quad Bikes:-
- Agricultural Quads
- Non-agricultural Quads
If opted for agricultural quads one has to decide whether the device would be able to be fitted with lighting arrangement. Since night usage isn’t required for most of the farmers this feature is commonly ignored by them.Since, non-agricultural or leisure quads aren’t utilized for farming purposes one could opt for a full-lighting system in them. Even the regulations for enabling these bikes with lights are little slack. For a quadric-cycle or quad bike registered since July 2003 and registered as a standard private vehicle, the requirements for lighting are faintly dissimilar.
While an Agricultural Quads isn’t allowed to carry passengers, the leisure ones are allowed to do the same if the manufacturer designs the vehicle to carry passengers and provide suitable numbers of seat. While buying a quad some prefer to bring home a used one. This can be a smart move to buy an all-utility costly vehicle. Though as some would say, it could be a little difficult to buy this way by finding one with right style and required features. To solve the riddle it could be a reasonable suggestion to take along a knowledgeable friend. This is all the more necessary if the buyer happens to be a new entrant in the scene.
